Amador County resources include agricultural and timber lands, clean water, precious open space, and tangible ties to the history of California that draws tourists from all over the world. Other communities across the nation have paved over their resources and created sprawl to serve unplanned growth, only to find that this has hurt their economy and quality of life. Amador Citizens for Smart Growth envisions and works towards balance between growth, maintenance of our small-town culture, and preservation of Amador’s resources. We do this by working with local governments and cooperating with other citizen groups. Our Mission describes our purpose and our Core Values define our principles and standards.
